The Navarra Group was founded in 1977, in the city of Braga, with the foundation of the Tamil company - Tratamento do Alumínio do Minho, Lda., focused on the anodising activity, with an area of 1 000 m², 7 employees and a maximum production capacity of 700 000 m²/year.

Beginning of the company Avelino Gonçalves, Lda. dedicated to the trade of accessories for architectural aluminium systems.

With a 1 000 press, the activity of aluminium extrusion began. Navarra - Extrusão de Alumínio, S.A. is born.

A Technical Office is created, currently the Technical Support Centre for Window Frames, which is located in the Group's headquarters.

In this same year, a 2 200 press and the first vertical powder coating are installed.

The Group expands its industrial area and has now two 2 200 extrusion presses.

The new corporate identity of the Navarra brand is launched and the Showroom is inaugurated.

Exports are already representative in Europe and the Portuguese-Speaking African Countries.

With 3 extrusion presses: 1 P2 800 and 2 P2 200, the Navarra Group achieves the highest extrusion capacity in Portugal.

Opening of a commercial unit in Angola, N.2.A, Lda.

Expansion of the industrial area in Portugal, with the construction of a new packaging pavilion and a new vertical lacquering plant.

The Navarra Group opens a commercial unit in the city of Maputo, in Mozambique – Navarra Moçambique, Lda.

Navarra - Extrusão de Aluminio, S.A. receives the Medal of Merit of the City of Braga, with Gold Grade.

The Group celebrates 35 years of activity in the aluminium sector.

Organisational restructuring of the companies, with the separation of the industrial and commercial activities.

Opening of a powder coating industrial unit in Mozambique, Tamoz – Tratamento de Alumínio de Moçambique, Lda.

The Navarra Group installs a fourth extrusion press, a P4 000, reaching the highest extrusion capacity in Portugal.

It also increases its production covered area to 35 000 m², installs the second vertical powder coating line and expands the packaging and dispatch units.

The Navarra Group celebrates 40 years of history.

The Navarra Group acquires the Haste company, which trades aluminium profiles, thus reinforcing the Group's sales network and its leading position in the national market.

Navarra - Extrusão de Alumínio, S.A. receives the award for best company in the Metal, Mechanics and Equipment category of the 500 largest and best Portuguese companies, published by Exame magazine, Deloitte and Informa D&B.
